About Me, Marty

My infatuation with machines started when I was a toddler. I would stand at construction sites and watch heavy machinery at the expense of my parents. With my Mother being in tech and Dad being a musician, I had zero background in the automotive industry.

I went to my first car show in the 5th grade to research a 427ci Shelby Cobra for a school project. By 16, I had scoured Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace for my first car, finding myself a $800 Honda Civic hatchback. That car was a death trap and quickly sparked my enrollment into Youtube University. I tried desperately to keep that tin can on the road. Luckily, it was stolen 6 months later.

At 19, I got my hands on a 2001 Lexus IS300 (which is still in one piece and in my possession). I’ve damn near swapped out every stock piece that 20 year old sport sedan had to offer. From that point on, I have pretty much lived and breathed motor vehicles. At 21, during the pandemic, I was sent even farther down the rabbit hole, having all the time to focus on my newfound hobby. By the time restrictions were lifted, my lifestyle was everything automotive.

I have spent a minimum of 20 hours a week wrenching on projects for the past 6 years. I have bought and re-homed countless cars and accumulated quite the personal collection as well. In 2023, I ended my 3.5 year employment at a moving company, that specialized in transitioning seniors so that I could contribute even more time working with cars.

I set out on a mission to find new homes for all our forgotten vehicles, old and new. Some of those vehicles, that have not moved in over 30 or 40 years, can now be someone’s everyday ride.

In October of 2024, I became a licensed car dealer in the state of Oregon, the rest is history.
